- Monopolar and Bipolar Footswitch: When being used with the Specialist PRO, the footswitch acts as a mono and bipolar footswitch, with the yellow button performing monopolar function, and the blue performing bipolar function. There is no need to purchase two separate footswitches. This footswitch will perform both monopolar and bipolar functions with a simple switch on the generator itself. Monopolar Footswitch: While being used with the Surgi-Center PRO or OR PRO 300, the footswitch can not perform bipolar functions. Rather, it acts as a dual-monopolar footswitch, with the yellow side performing cutting function, and the blue side performing coagulation. A bipolar footswitch allows the use of bipolar forceps, while a monopolar footswitch allows the use of pads and pencils.
