- The Welch Allyn SureTemp Plus digital thermometer can be used as an oral thermometer, rectal thermometer and axillary thermometer. It has long been the gold standard in hand-held and integrated thermometer parameters, providing accurate, reliable readings. Security features come standard to help protect against theft. For use with all patients, it captures temperatures fast—approximately 4-6 seconds for oral, 10-13 seconds for rectal or pediatric axillary, and 12-15 seconds for adult axillary. Concerned about cross-contamination? The SureTemp 692 is designed with patient safety in mind. It uses disposable probe covers, and its oral/axillary and rectal probes and probe wells are interchangeable—so you can quickly disinfect as you switch between modalities.
